Can YOU help in my search?

Below are most of the details that I have been able to find in a search that began when I found out I was adopted.  That was in 1977, aged 37.

It has been a long slog trying to find my birth family.  The breakthrough came at the end of November, 2004.  I posted a message on one of the genealogy boards, GenesReunited, requesting information about adoptees tracing their families.  One lady emailed me and suggested I get in touch with Joan Allan and post a message on her website, www.MyFolks.co.uk, which I did.  Within an hour, Joan had phoned me and told me I had an older half sister, Shirley.  Joan also found Gerald's present address, Shirley's husband, so I wrote to him.  He phoned me up a few days later and told me that Janina's mother was actually another half sister.  He also told me about a sister, Pat, and that my mother remarried.  He gave me a couple of addresses in Harlow, one of which is Pat's.  I wrote to her and she phoned me on Tuesday 21st December, 2004.  What a Christmas present!

I have two sons, Andrew, bn 11th. January 1978, and Nathan, bn 8th. January, 1983

DRAKE SIDE

Information received from Gaye Strand, in New Zealand, on July 26, 2004.......  Also researching the Drake family

EDMUND JOHN DRAKE b 6 March 1902 at 'Workhouse' Bethnal Green East
Father: Henry Drake, shoemaker. Mother: Mary Ann Drake of 45 Kay Street, Bethnal Green.  Birth Registered by M A Drake, on 14 March 1902.

Died 22 August 1977, Royal Northern Hospital, Islington.

In the 1901 Census, we find:

45 Kay Street, Bethnal Green, Mary Ann Drake 'wife' aged 25 working at home making tooth brushes, and her daughter, Elizabeth aged 7 years but no sign of Henry the husband ... perhaps he was working away when the census was taken

A search on marriages: Henry Drake m Mary Ann E Blackhall, Dec. quarter 1893 in Bethnal Green. Elizabeth Drake is born the year following the marriage (1894).  Henry is very elusive.  I have never found him entered on a census, but I do know, from the marriage certificate of his daughter, Elizabeth Drake, (Married AUGUSTUS GEORGE SCHMIDT, Nov. 1915) he is entered as deceased.

Searching 1881 Census: Mary Ann Blackhall, aged 7: birthplace at 112 Mare St., Bethnal Green, London, niece of Robert and Elizabeth Little, marine shore dealer, of that address.

Her birth shows up as Mar quarter 1876 Bethnal Green 1c 276

I am also seeking family connections with Elizabeth Drake born 1894, Bethnal Green dau of Henry Drake and Mary Ann Drake b1876 of Bethnal Green.

Also: Is Elizabeth Little, Mary's mother's sister?  They are in their 60's in the 1881 census, now but living alongside MARY ANN BLACKALL (note slightly different spelling) at 103 and 105 Barclay Road
